Ethel B. &uot;Big Mamma&uot; Cobb, 79, of 812 Seminole Dr., Suffolk, passed away Friday, Dec. 12, 2003, in Nansemond Pointe Convalescent Center. Born in Georgia, she was the widow of Napoleon Cobb.

Cobb had retired from the dry-cleaning industry.

Survivors include stepdaughter, Eva Freeman of Suffolk; and sisters, Rosa Lee Pettiford of Tifton, Ga., and Jessie Lee; and several other relatives and friends.

The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 17, in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home Inc., 685 Carolina Rd., Suffolk. The Rev. James Williams will preside over the service. Burial will take place in the Holly Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friend at the residence of Eva Freeman, 812 Seminole Drive, Suffolk.
