Hattie L. Faulk

Hattie Louise Faulk, 73, of 105 Gay’s Row, Suffolk, entered into eternal rest Sunday, Dec. 14, 2003, in Obici Hospital.

A native of Suffolk, she was the daughter of the late Jack Faulk and Louise Miller Faulk of Suffolk.

She was educated in the Suffolk Public School System, and was a member of St. Mark A.M.E. Zion Church, where she had served as a stewardess and usher.

She leaves to cherish her memory

one brother, John A. Faulk of Laurelton, N.Y. (Andrea); two aunts, Rose Nell Miller and Virginia Faulk of Suffolk; two nieces, Gloria Ford of Petersburg, and Stacey Sterling of Laurelton; one nephew, Robert Officer of London, England; many devoted family members, Kimberly Hall-Harp, who she reared, and her son, Benjamin Harp; cousins, Thelma M. Brown, Ada Miller, Belvie Jones, Sharon Merritt, Thelma D. Greenidge, Quincy Jones, Kenneth Miller, Ronald Johnson, Bishop Madison Copeland, and Bernard Vick, all who were devoted caregivers during her life and time of illness; and many other cousins and friends.

The funeral will be held at noon Friday in St. Mark A.M.E. Zion Church, 817 McKinley Ave. with the Rev. J. Maverick Smith, pastor, presiding.

Viewing will be held from noon to 7 p.m. today.
