Kilby Shores Elementary School art teacher Angie Salerno recently presented a workshop on the five regions of Virginia to the Virginia Art Education Association’s fall professional development conference.

Her workshop was entitled &uot;Virtual Virginia Tour.&uot; Her informative and fund presentation focused on the fourth-grade Standards of Learning on Virginia’s five regions.

Participants saw a digital slide show of Virginia’s cities, historic sites, and resources.

Art projects unique to each region were also presented. Mrs. Salerno used her summer vacation to take the photos and then assembled them into a PowerPoint presentation.
