Mrs. Mamie Mitchell of 2210 E. Washington St., Apt. 200-B, Suffolk, died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2003, in Obici Hospital.

A native of Suffolk, she was the daughter of the late Dancy and Hannah Debro Watford, and the widow of John Mitchell. She was also predeceased by a sister-in-law, Dorothy Williams.

She is survived by three daughters, Inize Mitchell of Suffolk; and Betty Evins, and JoAnn Branch, both of Portsmouth; three sons, Mark Mitchell of Chesapeake; Paul White of Portsmouth; and Sam Thomas Mitchell of Charlotte, N.C.; four grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Rosa Thomas and Annie Mae White; and nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, in Crocker Funeral Home. Interment will be in Oaklawn Cemetery.

The family will be at 2210 E. Washington St., Apt. 200-B.
