Mrs. Marion E. Darden, 57, of 403 Alabama Ave., Warner Robins, Ga., died Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2003. She was a native of Nansemond County, and a daughter of Ida B. Chapman and the late James Edwards Chapman.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband, Frederick Darden of Warner Robins; two daughters, Alisa Chapman of Warner Robins, and Judy L. Lamb of Chesapeake; four sisters, Alice Mitchell, Rosa Silver, Luetta Johnson, and Loretta Simmons, all of Suffolk; two brothers, Henry W. Chapman and Hurley Chapman, both of Suffolk; three grandchildren; her mother-in-law, Helen Davis of Suffolk; and several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

The funeral will be held at noon Monday, Dec. 22, in Oak Grove Baptist Church by Dr. Anthony Copeland. Interment will be held in Nansemond-Suffolk Cemetery.
