Arthur Wellons swished a pair of free throws with 38 seconds to go to ice the Lake Kennedy Clippers’ 36-34 victory over host Green Run in junior varsity league competition Saturday afternoon (the league is designed for players still hoping to make it to the varsity level of their respective high school teams before the season ends). Wellons led the way with 13 points and 12 rebounds and Jeffrey Cook added nine.
