Early Sunday morning, Jan. 4, 2004, God dispatched his loving angels and called home our beloved, Eddie Louie Stephenson.

Eddie was born on May 10, 1908, in Hertford, N.C., to the late Frank Stephenson and Annie Vaughan. Eddie worked as a laborer for Newport News Shipyard.

He was predeceased by his wife Julia Van Stephenson.

He leaves to cherish his memory, two daughters, Essie M. Andrews and Janet Parker; four grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in East End Baptist Church with the Rev. Mark Croston officiating. Interment will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens.

Viewing will be from noon 6 p.m. Tuesday in T.E. Cooke-Overton Funeral Home.
