Seven busted for drug charges

Three months of undercover investigations by the Suffolk Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit have resulted in the 17 grand jury indictments and the arrest of two local twins and five other suspects on drug-related charges.

Suffolk Police Sergeant P.G. Burch said the seven men were charged with dealing cocaine in the vicinity of Pine Street and Second Avenue.

Lieutenant Debbie J. George said that as a result of the arrests, five narcotic search warrants were executed during the month of December.

Burch also said the investigation netted .75 ounces of crack cocaine, approximately $2,700 in cash and a nine millimeter handgun, all of which were seized during the arrests and execution of search warrants.

Lumonza Claude Harris and his twin brother, Rumonza Clinton Harris, both 24, residents of 153 Pine St., were charged with possession of cocaine, distribution of cocaine and conspiracy to distribute cocaine. Lumonza, recognized by long dreadlocks, was also charged with possession of a firearm while in possession of a controlled substance. Rumonza’s lower left arm bears the tattoo, &uot;02 16 98.&uot;

Rodney Eure, 19, listed two addresses with police including, 246 Pine St. and 250 Pinner St. He was charged with two counts of distribution of cocaine, possession of cocaine and driving on a suspended operators license.

Ricardo Cassanova Faulk, 26, of 815 N. Main St., was charged with distribution of cocaine and conspiracy to distribute the drug. Faulk’s identified with a tattoo on his upper arms, &uot;One Love.&uot; He was arrested while sitting on a Bute Street porch.

Delbert Javon King, 26, also listed two addresses; Apartment No. 179 at 925 Brook Avenue, and 127 S. Wellons St. He was charged with two counts of distribution of cocaine and conspiracy to distribute cocaine. He was also arrested at the Bute Street location.

Raymond Eley Jr., 30, of 404 Bute St., was also charged with distribution of cocaine and conspiracy to distribute the substance. His upper arms bear tattoos of a cross, a panther, and the grim reaper.

Leondra Marquis Butler, 40, has three addresses including one at 244 Pine St. where he was arrested and charged with distribution of cocaine. He has a tattoo on his upper arm, &uot;Butler.&uot;
