Chances are that if you visited the City of Suffolk offices on Friday, you were surprised to see that they were closed in observance of the Lee-Jackson Holiday. However, schools, banks and most other businesses continued normal working hours as usual. But on Monday, Jan 19 in observance of the Martin Luther King Holiday, banks and all schools, including Nansemond-Suffolk Academy, will be closed.

The City of Suffolk offices will also remain closed, but resume regular operating hours on Tuesday.

As an option, customers can obtain postage where they see the &uot;Buy Stamps Here&uot; signage at ATMs, supermarkets and drug stores.
