Sharon L. Cheeks

Sharon L. Cheeks, 39, of 201 Princess Arch, Suffolk, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Jan. 15, 2004, when she died in her home. She was a daughter of Jacqueline Rawlings of York, Pa., and the late Thomas Lee Rawlings.

Sharon was a member of Christian Faith Fellowship Ministries, where she was an evangelist and faithful member for many years.

She was a graduate of Henry Abbot Tech School in Danbury, Conn., where she spent most of her youth.

Sharon was a loving mother, wife and friend. She also would help anybody she could.

In addition to her mother, Sharon leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, Quintonio L. Cheeks; one son, Maurice M. Glasgow, and two daughters, Allison J. Cheeks and Shaina D. Cheeks, all of Suffolk; three brothers, Jimmy (Rhonda) Urquhart of Pittsburgh, Pa.; Ricky (Dawn) Lewis of Alta Loma, Calif.; and Ronnie (Gloria) Rawlings of Waterbury, Conn.; one sister, Mary Rawlings of York; father-in-law, Casper Cheeks (Bennie) of Danbury; mother-in-law, Dorothy Cheeks of Suffolk; six sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law. She also leaves many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 21, by Pastor Frankie Ross in Greater St. Stephen Pentecostal Holiness Church, where the pastor is Elder Steven Cheeks. Interment will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Shady Grove Baptist Church, Orange.
