Elsie Kutzleb Mudge, 81, of 311 Lake Dr., Suffolk, died Saturday, Jan. 17, 2004, in Obici Hospital.

A native of Cripple Creek, Colo., she was the daughter of the late William Henry and Ida Viola Kutzleb.

She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Clarence J. Mudge Sr.; a daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl M. Zimmerman and Marcus W. Zimmerman II of Ivor; a son and daughter-in-law, Clarence J. Mudge Jr. and Wanda L. Mudge of Chesapeake; one grandson, Bryan D. Beamon of Suffolk; and one great-grandson, David Beamon of Suffolk.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 21, in Sidney F. Harrell Chapel of the Harrell & Hill Funeral Home, with the Rev. J. Robert Bennett officiating. Entombment will be in Nansemond-Suffolk Cemetery.

Friends may join the family from 7 to 8 p.m. today in the Harrell & Hill Funeral Home, and other times at the residence, 311 Lake Dr., Suffolk.
