Ernest Lee &uot;Skinny&uot; Hill, 55, of 8169 S. Quay Road, Suffolk, died January 28, 2004, at his residence.

A native of Nansemond County, he was the son of the late Albert Hill Sr. and Joyce Artis Hill, and the widower of Carolyn Hill. He was retired from Planters Peanut Co.

He is survived by three sisters, Carlyse H. Boone and Margaret A. Hill, both of Suffolk, and Alice Hill of Lynchburg; five brothers, Albert Hill Jr. of Suffolk; Waddell Hill (Julphenia) of Chattanooga, Tenn.; Melvin Hill of Roanoke; Arthur Lee Hill of Minneapolis, Minn.; and Thomas Hill of Lynchburg; two foster

daughters, Annette Hunter of Franklin and Francis Shelton (Troy) of Suffolk; a devoted friend, Edith Skyes; and several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 1 at Holland Mission United Church of Christ. Interment will be in the Laurel Hill Church Cemetery.
