Phyllis Loretta Jones of 31 Cooper Road, Sunbury, N.C., went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2004.

She was the daughter of Evelyn Stallings Jones and the late Charlie L. Jones, and was born on Dec. 30, 1954 in Suffolk.

She leaves to treasure lasting and loving memories, her mother, Evelyn S. Jones; brother, Henry Jordan (Lorine); nieces, Chenita Hall (George), Sandra Leigh (Ronald), and Tawana Jordan; nephews, Johnnie Jordan Jr. and Neil Jordan; aunts, Sadie Brinkley, Virginia Parker, Doris Jordan, Norine Copeland, and Eleanor Stallings; and many cousins other relatives and friends.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, in Walton’s Grove AME Zion Church, Hobbsville, N.C., with the Rev. Johnnie Warren officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
