Mr. and Mrs. Gerald W. Writtenberry of Suffolk announce the engagement of their daughter, Hollie Elizabeth Writtenberry, to Andrew John Hill, both of Suffolk.

He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul A. Hill of Suffolk.

Miss Writtenberry is the maternal granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leslie R. Ellis, and the late Mr. Curtis E. Stanley. She is the paternal granddaughter of Mr. Matthew W. Writtenberry, and the late Mrs. Mary S. Writtenberry.

Mr. Hill is the maternal grandson of Mr. and Mrs. John E. Bailey. He is the paternal grandson of Mrs. Lois C. Hill, and the late Mr. John S. Hill.

Miss Writtenberry is a 1995 graduate of Nansemond-Suffolk Academy, and a 1999 graduate of Mary Washington College.

She is a band director for Portsmouth Public Schools.

Mr. Hill is a 1995 graduate of Nansemond River School, and a 2000 graduate of Virginia Tech.

He is a marketing representative for Valpak.

The wedding will take place June 19 in First Baptist Church.
