Claude C. Jordan of Suffolk announces the engagement of his daughter, Latilda V. Willis, to Bobby L. Carter Jr.

She is also the daughter of the late Mrs. Mary L. Jordan.

Bobby is the son of Ms. Janice L. Carter of Franklin, and Bobby L. Carter Sr. of Raleigh, N.C.

Ms. Willis is a 1989 graduate of John F. Kennedy High School, and is employed at International Paper in Nashville, Tenn.

She was formerly employed by Sonoco Products Co. of Suffolk.

Mr. Carter is a 1989 graduate of Franklin High School and attended Virginia State University, Petersburg.

He is employed by Sonoco Products Co. in Nashville.

A July wedding is planned.
