Third-grader Amber Marie Stewart never dreamed she would ride away from last Saturday’s third annual Easter Egg Hunt at Farm Fresh on a new bicycle.

Amber, an honor roll student at Kilby Shores Elementary School, won the grand prize of the day – a new Jeep 21-speed mountain bike valued at $500.

She won the prize after someone drew her raffle ticket.

Every child received a ticket upon arriving at the hunt, said David Conner, grocery manager at Farm Fresh.

Amber, 9, said she still can’t believe she won.

Stewart is the daughter of Judy and Wesley Stewart of Suffolk.

&uot;Some other prizes given away were a Playstation, and two little kiddie bikes,&uot; Conner said. &uot;Hot dogs, drinks and hamburgers were served and proceeds from that sale will go to Childrens Hospital of Kings Daughters in Norfolk.&uot;

&uot;Vendors in the area donated items that were sold and raffled off,&uot; he said.
