Mrs. Annie M. and Early Ward of Suffolk and Virginia Beach announce the engagement of their daughter, Lorraine Ward, to Willie T.K. Smith Jr., both of Suffolk.

He is the son of the late Mary E. Brooks and Jesse D. Brooks, who lived in Plant City, Fla.

Ward is the granddaughter of Annie Bell Caffey of Virginia Beach.

Smith is the grandson of the late Nally Bell Smith and the late Joe Baby Smith.

The wedding will take place Saturday, June 19, in Rising St. James Pentecostal Holiness Church.
