Mr. Charles Gordon Jr., 31, of 604 Adam St., Suffolk, died Saturday, May 1, 2004, at his residence.

He was a native of Brooklyn, N.Y.

He was the son of Charles Newby and Rose Mae Gordon.

He was a member of New Mt. Joy Church, Voices of Inspiration Choir.

He will be sadly missed by his parents Charles Newby and Rose Mae Gordon;. three sisters, Dorothy Gordon of Brooklyn, N.Y.; Donna Mayo, and husband, Tracy Mayo, of Portsmouth; and Shaquria Chambell of Brooklyn; paternal grandmother, Dorothy Brown, Suffolk; seven uncles, Floyd Newby, Willie Brown, Vincent Newby, all from Suffolk; Jessie Gordon Carmeald Gordon, Nathaniel Gordon, and Angelo Gordon, all from Brooklyn; eight aunts, Bertha Patterson, Idama Floyd, Queen Gordon, Katherine Gordon, all from Brooklyn; Sabrina Norfleet,Vickie Howell, Margaret Newby, and Judy Wiggins, all from Suffolk; devoted friends, Tim Franklin and Rhonda Cowling, both of Suffolk; and nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in New Mt. Joy Church by Bishop William P. Wiggins. Interment will be held in Pleasant Hill Cemetery,

The body will be placed in the church at 11:30 a.m. Friday.
