Editor, the News-Herald:

As of last Friday, Bay Bridge Enterprises, the former Peanut City Iron and Metal, stopped taking in scrap steel and soon will close the gates for good.

This means all those unwanted washers and dryers wont be recycled. And what about those cars the cities put those tags on? What about all that farm surplus that gets left in the woods?

And don’t forget about the employees who don’t know where they might work next.

And the guys in pickup trucks who are willing to come get the scrap for you. A lot of people hurting.

And who do we owe for all of this? The City of Suffolk. Thanks a lot from someone who has lived here his entire life.
