Authorities are investigating an alleged sexual assault between two students at John F. Kennedy Middle School.

The alleged assault, which occurred at the school Wednesday, involved a 13-year-old suspect and an 11-year-old victim, said Lt. Debbie George, spokeswoman for the Suffolk Police Department.

No additional information is available, George said.

Bethanne Bradshaw, spokeswoman for the Suffolk Public Schools, said the school system is conducting an investigation.

&uot;It’s alleged and is in the very preliminary stages of investigation,&uot; Bradshaw said. &uot;The school and the police are still interviewing family and kids.&uot;
