Effie Ann Moyers Wolford

Effie Ann Moyers Wolford, 95, died Sunday, May 9, 2004 at Grant County Nursing Home, Petersburg, W.Va.

She was a member of First Baptist Church in Petersburg, WVa., and had been a resident of the nursing home since Dec. 1998.

She was born in Cabins, W.Va., on Aug. 24, 1908.

She is survived by five children; three sons and their wives; Byron Glenn and Eunice Wolford of Richmond;, Gene Vernon and Johnnie Wolford of Cleveland, Tenn., and James Braddock and Pat Wolford of Shacklesford; two daughters and their husbands; Atha Joann and Braxton Dale of Franklin, N.C., and Mary Grace and Tom Adkins of Suffolk; two sisters; Orpha Naomi Staffer of Petersburg, W.Va., and Angie Susan Hatcher of Darlington, Pa.; a brother, Lonnie Donald Moyers of Baker, W.Va. She is also survived by 11 grendchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

She was preceeded in death by two brothers and nine sisters.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, May 12, at Schaeffer Funeral Home, 11 North Main Street, Petersburg, W.Va. A Service of Celebration of Her Life will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, May 13 at First Baptist Church of Petersburg, 112 Virginia Avenue, Petersburg, W.Va.

Interment will be at the Riggleman Family Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Petersburg Baptist Church.
