Robert Thomas &uot;Buddy&uot; Hawkins, 57, of the 3200 block of Archers Mill Road, Suffolk, passed away Monday, May 17, 2004.

Born in Suffolk, he had retired from the Department of Parks and Recreation, City of Suffolk.

He will be sadly missed by his mother, Eunice Burris Hawkins; one brother, Walter T. &uot;Buster&uot; Hawkins Jr., and his sister, Nancy H. Weeks, and husband, Rick; and his beloved nieces and nephew, Chelsea, Sarah, Rachel, and Taylor Weeks, all of Suffolk.

He was predeceased by his father, Walter T. Hawkins Sr.

The graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday by the Rev. Stewart McCarter in Holly Lawn Cemetery.

Friends may join the family from 7 to 8 p.m. today in Harrell and Hill Funeral Home, and other times at the residence.
