Miss Nellie Maude Overman (left) recently presented a hand-colored copy of the 1907 bird’s-eye view of Suffolk to the Suffolk-Nansemond Historical Society, represented here by Sue Woodward. The map will be displayed in the group’s new headquarters, the Phillips-Dawson House, on Bank Street. The gift is in memory of Overman’s parents, William Henry Overman and Lillie Maude Baines Overman.
