Mary Louise Wright, 84, formerly of 1117 Truman Road, Suffolk, passed away Saturday, May 22, 2004, in Obici Hospital. She was born on Jan. 12, 1920, to the late James L. Harvey Sr. and Lelia Parker Harvey. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert L. Wright, and her brother, James L. Harvey Jr.

She was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church where she served on the Senior Usher Board for many years. She was also a member of the Pastor’s Aide.

She leaves to cherish her memory a very devoted son, Albert L. &uot;Dickie&uot; Blanks, and a daughter-in-law, Pearlie H. Blanks; a loving sister, Rebecca Purvis; two grandchildren, Marcus L. Blanks of Suffolk and Tasha B. Benberry (Ron) of Germantown, Md.; three great-grandchildren; Sharniqua Blanks of Suffolk, Imani Benberry and Evan Benberry of Germantown; an aunt, Vergie Hollimon of Suffolk; an uncle, Joe Harvey of Effingham, S.C.; three devoted nieces, Dorothy Harvey, Ajane Harvey, and Beulah Phillips, all of Suffolk; three loving nephews, James L. Harvey III and Vernon M. Harvey, both of Suffolk; and Eugene Purvis of Columbus, Ga.; She is also survived by great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

The funeral will be held at noon Wednesday in Piney Grove Baptist Church. Interment will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at 2509 Woodland Trail. Friends and family will assemble there at 11 a.m. for the procession to the church. The body will be placed in the church at 10:30 a.m.
