Mrs. Odessa &uot;Big Mama&uot; Daughtrey, 86, of 3605 Gateway Dr., Apt 1B, Portsmouth, died June 4, 2004 in Maryview Hospital.

She was a native of Nansemond County. She was the daughter of the late Cora Pugh Worrell and Edward Worrell. She was the widower of Nathaniel Daughtrey and was retired from Planters Peanut Company after 44 years.

She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, Senior Choir, Missionary Circle, and Sunday School.

Survivors include one daughter, Michelle Bailey (Vernon Sr.) of Portsmouth; one son, Junius Nathaniel Daughtrey (Betty Jean) of Suffolk; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; daughters-in-law, Deborah Worrell and Diane Dildy; sisters-in-law, Mary Worrell, Martha Worrell, and Betty Jean Daughtrey;

The funeral will be held at noon Wednesday at Oak Grove Baptist Church by Dr. Anthony Copeland. Interment will be at Oak Grove Church Cemetery.

Crocker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

The family will be at the home of Mrs. Mary Worrell, 2203 Vermont Ave., Suffolk.
