Pair charged with robbery of Hardees

Two men were charged over the weekend with the armed robbery of the Constance Road Hardee’s Restaurant.

Lt. Debbie J. George said the suspects, Keivvonn D. Hill and Amir J. Darden, both 20-years old, were arrested Saturday and charged with the June 18th robbery of the restaurant of the 843 Constance Road restaurant.

Witnesses told police that two men entered the store through a rear door. According to the report, both were armed and wearing ski masks. The lieutenant said they took an undisclosed amount of money and also took the cashier’s purse.

Hill and Darden were charged with armed robbery, two counts of abduction, two counts of use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, wearing a mask in public and grand larceny. Hill was also charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and assault and battery.

Police Detective Gary D. Myrick is the lead investigator on this case, assisted by Det. Timothy Cooper and Sergeant Steve Smith.
