Vurnes Ray Edwards, a radio personality, died June 24 in Washington, D.C.

He is survived by his mother Annie E. Edwards, sister Gladys and Rebecca Edwards, brothers Randolph, Ronald, Gerell and Michael, a longtime friend Charlene and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 3 at Greater Sweet Beulah Church by Suffragan-Bishop Madison G. Copeland. Interment will be held in Carver Memorial Cemetery. B.K. Henry Funeral Home Chapel, Inc. of Washington, D.C., and Crocker Funeral Home, Inc., are in charge of the arrangements.
