Helen L. Holland Walters, 85, of 202 John Deere St., Suffolk, died on July 21, 2004 in Nansemond Point Healthcare. She was a native of Holland and the widow of Dewey E. Walters. She retired from Birdsong Peanut Co.

She was a member of Bethlehem Christian Church and the Ladies Star Sunday School class. She was also the daughter of the late James Babb and Elnor Holland Babb. She was also predeceased by her daughter Peggy L. Jernigan.

Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law Barbara L. and David Spivey, and Linda M. and Alvin Warren, all of Suffolk; grandchildren, Cynthia Ann Brinkley, Susan M. Thomas, John Mark Spivey and Hope Spivey Coburn; great grandchildren John W. Brinkley, Carter R. Spivey, and Cameron E. Spivey.

The funeral is scheduled for Saturday, July 24, 2004 at 2 p.m. in the Sidney F. Harrell Chapel of the Harrell & Hill Funeral Home. Interment is at the Holly Lawn Cemetery. Re. Jonathan Palmer is officiating.

Friends may join family on Friday from 7 – 8 p.m. at the Harrell & Hill Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
