Staff report

A very resourceful and exciting event is coming up in Suffolk: The 9th annual Suffolk C.A.R.E. (Children’s Assistance & Resource Event) Fair.

The event is scheduled for Saturday, July 31 from 10 am to 2:30 pm at King’s Fork Middle School. Many things will take place which help provide free and convenient back-to-school services for school-aged children. This includes school registration, school physicals and state-required immunizations.

Families can take advantage of free health screenings, access to numerous human services agencies, and dozens of free games and activities.

This is a great time for families to spend the day having some fun and getting their hands on some valuable services. We believe this event is important for many reasons, namely because its objective is to help children.

Suffolk residents should participate in the C.A.R.E. Fair to help make a difference in the life of a child.

This will have a farther reaching impact than just one day.
