Mary B. Wiggins

Mary Virginia Brinkley Wiggins, 66, of the 1300 block of NC Hwy. 32 North, died Friday, July 23, 2004 in Albemarle Hospital, Elizabeth City, N.C.
Mrs. Wiggins was born in Gates County and was the daughter of the late Edward N. and Florine Blanchard Brinkley. A homemaker, she had also worked as a secretary with Frank Sheffer, CPA in Suffolk and with Atlantic Forest Products in Corapeake and as a clerk with the US Postal Service in the Corapeake Post Office. An active member of Eureka Baptist Church and its Euzelian Sunday School Class, she had served as the church treasurer, the church secretary and had been a member of the W.M.U.
Surviving are her husband of almost 44 years, Glenn R. Wiggins; her daughter Stephanie Wiggins Harrell and her husband, L. Taylor Harrell, III of Ahoskie; her sister, Carolyn F. Brinkley of Rocky Mount, NC; her granddaughter, Logan Harrell and her grandson, Mason Harrell.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. in eureka Baptist Church by the Rev. Cameron Currin, pastor. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Miller funeral Home, Gatesville, in charge of arrangements. Friends may join the family Saturday Saturday from 7 – 8:30 pm in funeral home and all other times at the residence.
