Editor, the News-Herald:

Have you ever noticed how well cities operate over long weekends, when city hall is closed? I have, and wondered, do we really need all of these overpaid managers and city staff. You could give me the police, fire, garbage trucks, public utilities and schools and give the rest of these so called officials a very long permanent vacation from their so called public service jobs in the city.

Then give everyone a big property tax cut, which would stimulate the local economy and make all of us happy. Just a thought but I wish it were true.
