Willie James &uot;Billy&uot; Rich III of 2009 Arizona Ave., Suffolk, died Aug. 26, 2004, in Obici Hospital. He was predeceased by his mother and father, Naomi W. Grier and Willie J. Rich II.

He was a graduate of the 1975 class of John F. Kennedy High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He leaves to mourn one daughter, Billie Jovanna Hunter of Fayetteville, N.C.; one sister, Audrey (Christopher) Copeland of Suffolk; one brother, Gregory Rich of Portsmouth; and one grandchild.

A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Harris Funeral Home Chapel, 685 Carolina Road with the Rev. James B. Williams presiding.

Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the home of his sister, Mrs. Audrey Copeland, 6723 Cumberland Lane, Holland. The family will assemble at the funeral home for the service at 2 p.m. Tuesday.
