McKinley Holloway Sr., 68, of 705 Moore Farm Lane passed away November 3, 2004. He was born in Surry
to the late Harry and Georgia (Harper) Holloway. He retired from Newport News Shipbuilding and Dry Dock Co. after 22 years of service. He was a deacon of Little Bethel Baptist Church of Chuckatuck where he was a member for 47 years.
McKinley is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Mildred Jackson Holloway; eight children Kenneth Harden (Barbara), McKinley Holloway Jr. (Pamela), Veronica Holloway, Kimberly Ford (Spencer), Harriet Holloway, all of Suffolk; Sharon Holloway of Atlantic City, N.J., Sandra Holloway of Warner Robins, Ga., Monica Goodwin of Concord, N.C.; 21 grandchildren; two brothers Lewis Holloway(Melissa) and Joseph Holloway(Mary); one sister Lucy Robinson(Charles Sr.) all of Smithfield and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
A funeral Celebration will be held 1 p.m. Monday, November 8, 2004 at Little Bethel Baptist Church. Viewing will be Sunday from 1-6 p.m. with a wake service from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Shivers Funeral Chapel. Internment will be held in the Christian Home Church Cemetery.
Shivers Funeral Chapel, Smithfield, is handling arrangements.
