Walter Alvin Foreman &uot;James Brown,&uot;
61, died Dec. 10, 2004 at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. He was a native of Nansemond County and the son of the late Eddie and Emma Sykes Foreman.
He attended Suffolk Public Schools. He was a member of Tabernacle Christian Church where he was a member of the Senior Usher Board and the Men’s Fellowship. He was a retired packer.
Survivors include three sisters, Shirley Spruell (William), Margaret Holliman (James) and Delores Deloatch all of Suffolk; one brother, James E. Foreman (Theola) of Washington D. C.; one aunt, Novella Robertson; two uncles, Bishop Thomas Foreman of Seaford, Del. and Rev. Jerry Foreman of Trenton, N.J.; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends; also a special friend and care giver, Mrs. Rosa Copeland and his buddy for many years, Aaron Lee Willie.
The funeral will be held at noon Friday, Dec. 17, 2004 in Tabernacle Christian Church by Dr. Carlton Upton, Sr. The Interment will be in Holly Lawn Cemetery. The body will be taken to the church at 10:30 a.m. The family is receiving friends at 1908 E. Washington Street and at 143 S. Sixth St. where they will also assemble on Friday at 11 a.m. for the procession to the church. Crocker Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
