Third place a charm for Gators

Nolan McGrew and Matthew Peterson were first and second in Boys 9-10 100-freestyle racing as Suffolk finished third behind Hampton and Norfolk in a meet at the Suffolk YMCA on Saturday afternoon.
Kylie Potter finished second in the Girls 6U 25-free, and Amanda Petroski was third in the Girls 8U event. Nolan won the 50-freestyle, and Danielle Thomas was second in Girls 11-12 50-free.
Curtis Oliver was third in Boys 8U 50-free, and the Gators were tops in Mixed 8U 100-freestyle relay and second in the 9-10 200 race. They were also second in Mixed 11-12 200 free action, and Curtis finished second in Boys 8U 25-breastroke.
Elizabeth Wallace was second in Girls 9-10 50-breastroke, and Caleb Nixon was third in the Boys 11-12 race. Kylie was third in Girls 6U 25-backstroke, and Amanda followed suit in the 7-8 race. Elizabeth was second in the 9-10 50-backstroke, and Danielle did likewise in Girls 11-12 action.
David Forman got on the board by finishing second in Boys 8U 25-butterfly, and helped the Mixed 8U 100-medley relay squad to second. The team also finished third in 9-10 and 11-12 200 action.
