On Thursday, Feb. 17, 2005 at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, God called home his angel, Brenda Lee Bray. She was of the 1200 block of Lake Kennedy Drive.

Brenda was born on Oct. 8, 1955 and was a native of Belle Haven, North Carolina. She was preceded in death by a sister, Ethel Odom.

She leaves to cherish her memory a husband, Alonzo Bray; three daughters, Latanya Hamlin (Clyde), Afriyie Bray and Danielle Bray, all of Suffolk; a son, Damien Bray, also of Suffolk who is stationed in Hawaii with the United States Army; a sister, Eleanor Spencer of New York; two brothers, Auburey Silver (Elizabeth) of Norfolk and Corey Silver of Maryland; two loving grandchildren, Stephen Hamlin and Brenae Simpson; two special friends, Dina Cuffee and Corrine Miller; four brothers-in-law, five sisters-in-law and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2005 at Galatains United Church of Christ, 2320 Manning Road.
