Children’s Center fashion show benefit staged at new Hilton Garden Inn

Denison’s and Karen’s for Kids, both Suffolk clothing establishments, are teaming up to stage a fashion show to benefit the Children’s Center.
The first-ever Administra-tive Professional’s Day Fashion Show and Luncheon will take place at the new Hilton Garden Inn and Suffolk Conference Center at 12:30 p.m. April 27.

Tickets for the show are $20, or $180 for a table of 10 up to March 31. After March 31, tables of 10 will cost $200.
Advance ticket sales for the event will begin March 10. Tickets can be purchased at the Texie Camp Marks Children’s Center, 700 Campbell Ave., Franklin (562-6806); the Suffolk Children’s Center, 300 Executive Court, Suffolk (538-2523); the Smithfield Children’s Center, 240 James St., Smithfield (356-1004); The Virginian-Pilot, 157 N. Main St., Suffolk; and Denison’s, 1413 N. Main St., Suffolk.
Models for the show will include children who receive services at the Children’s Center, along with their mothers.
&uot;In addition to raising money to support Children’s Center programs, the show will offer children, including children with disabilities, a chance to show off a little in front of family and friends,&uot; said Barbara Mease, executive director of the Children’s Center.
&uot;With Mother’s Day just around the corner, the timing could not be better.&uot;
The Center will partner with local businesses to sponsor the show.
Businesses may also purchase blocks of tickets to provide their administrative professionals with an event they will treasure.
&uot;We hope to make this a real community event,&uot; Mease said.
