Maurice Pierre Council entered into eternal rest on March 7, 2005. He was a native of Chesterfield County.

He attended Midlothian High School.

He leaves to cherish fond memories, his mother and father, Sylvia and Charles Council; one brother, Jerron Council; grandfather, Frank Skeeter; several aunts and uncles, Elder Russell and Linda Harris, Wayne and Gloria Dotson, the Rev. Anthony and Velma Bryant, Phillip and Elizabeth Council, Deaconess Ella Lynch, Margaret Oroperza, Deacon Ronald and Melissa Council, Delores and Timothy Sykes; close and beloved cousins, Jerree Harris, Syretta Harris, Lashaunda Dotson, Monique Smith, Stacey Smith and TaJee Smith; and a host of other cousins, great aunts, uncles and friends.

The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. Friday, March 11, 2005 at New Deliverance Evangelistic Church, 1701 Turner Road, Richmond.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 12, 2005 at New First Baptist Church, 1105 Hosier Road with the Rev. Bishop Gerald O. Glenn and the Rev. Dr. Lemuel L. Green officiating. Interment will be in Balm of Gilead Baptist Church Cemetery. Crocker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
