Holy Neck UCC will celebrate Maundy Thursday today at 7:30 p.m. The Rev. J. J. Ferguson is the speaker.
Pre-Good Friday at First Baptist
First Baptist Church, 112 Mahan St., will hold its annual Pre-Good Friday (Maundy-Thursday) Service at 7 p.m. today. Participating local preachers include Dr. Mark Croston, East End Baptist Church and Rev. Tommy Harden of St. Timothy Baptist Church and Rev. Higher Calling Ministries
The second annual &uot;In His Presence&uot; conference this week continues at 7:30 nightly through Friday, March 26. At 9 a.m. Saturday, the Prayer Breakfast takes place. Guests include Min. Easter services at Bethlehem Christian
Bethlehem Christian Church will hold Easter services from today to Sunday, March 27. Service tonight begins at 7:30, Friday, 8 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Sunday.
Oakland Christian Church
At 7:30 p.m. March 24, Oakland Christian Church, 5641 Godwin Blvd., will hold Maundy Thursday services. Holy Communion will be offered. Easter pie orders may be picked up between 3 and 7 p.m. At noon March 25, Good Friday, a service will be held at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church at 220 Kings Highway. Easter pie orders may be picked up between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. On Easter Sunday at 6:30 a.m., a sunrise service takes place on the grounds of St. John’s Episcopal Church, 828 Kings Highway. Immediately following the service, there will be time for fellowship and refreshments in the Parish Hall. God’s Anointed Touch Ministries
God’s Anointed Touch Ministries is having an Easter Extravaganza. The event will take place between 3 and 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 26 at the Windsor School of Dance. The scholarship committee of the Suffolk Christian Church is seeking applications for three scholarships given annually to current Elon students and high school seniors accepted for study at Elon University. Oxford United Methodist new outreach program
Oxford United Methodist Church, 601 W. Washington St., has initiated a new outreach program for children in the intermediate area of the church. The &uot;Covenant Club&uot; for boys and girls from ages 6-13 will meet from 10 a.m. to noon on the third Saturday of each month.
The club features music, stories, games, art and snacks. Each child must have a signed permission slip by parent or guardian before attending. To receive a permission slip, call the church office at 539-8253 between 9 a.m. and noon Monday through Friday.
