Arnold L. Gatling

Mr. Arnold Leon Gatling Sr., of 2107 Arizona Ave., Suffolk, went into eternal life on Wednesday, April 27, 2005. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a worker for Birdsong Peanuts. He is predeceased by his parents, Don and Lossie Gatling, his wife, Brenda Mae Wilson; a daughter, Kenya Jenkins. He is survived by a daughter, Valencia Blankenship (Cleo) of Portsmouth; three sons, Arnold Gatling Jr., Cordero Gatling and Archie Robinson all of Suffolk. He is also survived by a sister, Elder Laura Timmons (Elder Archie); a brother, Ronald Gatling also of Suffolk. He will be missed by his eight grandchildren. A special thanks is extended to Mrs. Shirley Pugh and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
A funeral of triumph will be held at 1 p.m.
Saturday, April 30, 2005 at Rising St. James Pentecostal Holiness Church, Suffolk. Bishop Dwight Whitfield will be presiding. Visitation will be at 10:30 a.m. on today at Harris Funeral Home, Inc., 685 Carolina Road, Suffolk.
The family will assemble at the residence at 11:45 a.m. Saturday for the funeral procession. The body will be placed in the Church at 11 a.m. Saturday for viewing until service time.
