James LeRoy Nupp, 70, of Executive Center Drive, Chesa-peake, died June 14, 2005, at Maryview Medical Center.

Born September 10, 1934, in Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Elizabeth Braund and Alonzo Ford Nupp Sr., and the widower of Frances Mae Jones Nupp. An Air Force veteran, Mr. Nupp was retired from Producers Peanut Co. in Suffolk. At the time of his death, he was a payroll clerk for Wanchese Seafood Co. in Suffolk. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Portsmouth.

Survivors include his nieces, Gudrun &uot;Goody&uot; Dietz and her husband, Douglas; nephew, Richard Nupp and his wife, Bonnie, all of New York State.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in First Presbyterian Church of Portsmouth by the Rev. Don Belanus.
