Kathryn M. Adams, 91, of Suffolk, died June 20, 2005 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Virginia Beach.

Born April 14, 1914 in Isle of Wight County, she was the daughter of the late Laura and Hudson Murphy. Kathryn was the widow of Charles Gray Adams Jr. and was predeceased by her son, Charles &uot;Gray&uot; Adams III and her three sisters. Kathryn was a lifelong member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church, the Goodwill Bible Class and the Junto Woman’s Club.

Survivors include her daughter, Glenda Holcomb and husband, Donnie of Virginia Beach; grandchildren, David Andrew Howell of San Diego, Calif., and Courtney H. Harbison and husband, Kip of Virginia Beach; great-grandchild Thomas Andrew Harbison; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Ebenezer United Methodist Church by the Rev. Carl LeMon with burial in Mt. Zion Cemetery. A reception will immediately follow in the church reception hall. R. W. Baker and Co. Funeral Home and Crematory will be assisting the family.
