Work to put a sleeve in an existing sewer line under Constance Road at the intersection of Main Street will require a detour of eastbound traffic on Constance beginning 8 p.m. tonight.

The overnight detour will remain in effect until 6 a.m. Friday.

Signs will mark the detour for motorists during that time and will direct traffic right on Main Street, left onto Finney Avenue, another left onto Pinner Street, and back to Constance Road.

In addition, lane closures in the intersection of Constance and Main will prohibit northbound traffic on Main Street from turning left to go west on Constance Road, and westbound traffic on Constance Road will be prohibited from turning left to go south on Main Street while the detour is in effect.

The work also involves completion of crosswalks in the intersection of Main Street and Constance Road, and so between 6 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Friday, motorists can expect periodic lane closures on Constance Road adjacent to the Hilton Garden Inn.
