Mr. and Mrs. Robert W. Harrell Jr. of Suffolk are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Dr. Cheri Renee Harrell to David Lee Anthony, son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Thomas Anthony of Rockville, Md.

The future bride is a graduate of Nansemond-Suffolk Academy. In 1997 she received a B. A. in Psychology from Wellesley College, Wellesley, Mass. She received her MA in Education from Harvard University in Cambridge, Mass. in 1998 and a Doctorate in the Philosophy of Counseling Education in 2004 from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg.

The groom is a graduate of Wooten High School in Rockville, Md. and a 1985 graduate of Virginia Tech with a degree in mechanical engineering. He is currently employed by ChemTreat Inc. in Richmond as a manager of sales development.

Following their wedding on July 9 at Main Street Methodist Church in Suffolk, the couple plans to reside in Richmond.
