Williams-Gulati wed

Allison Nicole Williams and Michael Eric Gulati were united in marriage at five o’clock in the evening on June 11, 2005 at Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Chesapeake. The Reverend Larry Adams officiated the double ring ceremony.

Dinner and dancing followed in the Portsmouth Ballroom at the Renaissance Hotel and Conference Center on the waterfront with Harborfest fireworks in the background.

The bride is the daughter of Michael and Sandra Jory of Portsmouth and James and Karen Williams of Green Lake, Wis. Formerly of Suffolk, the bride is a graduate of Nansemond-Suffolk Academy, James Madison University, and the University of Georgia. She is currently the Assistant Dean of Students for Leadership Development at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pa.

Escorted by her two fathers, the bride wore a one-piece strapless A-line gown of French satin with a corset back. The gown featured an asymmetrically petal-shaped revealing embroidered lace beneath and a tulle and crystallized lace train.

Katherine Whitfield and Tara Kachelriess, sorority sisters and best friends of the bride served as maids of honor. Bridesmaids were Kate Kachelriess, Jae Lingberg and Mary Michael Garver. David and Charles Gulati, brothers of the groom served as best men. Groomsmen were Neil Marsh and Brian Zolad, friends of the groom, and Justin Williams, brother of the bride.

Alexandria Gulati, niece of the groom was the flower girl and Brett Gulati, nephew of the groom was the ring bearer.

After a honeymoon trip to St. Lucia, the couple will reside in Center Valley, Pa.
