The serial robbery suspect arrested in Chesapeake Tuesday will be charged with last month’s break-in at Fashion Cents.

Police have determined that Frank Eugene Solesbee Jr., 41, of Jarratt is responsible for robbing the North Main Street store on June 2, said Lt. Debbie George, spokeswoman for the Suffolk Police Department.

Suffolk has not yet filed charges against Solesbee, who made his first court appearance in Chesapeake on Thursday.

Solesbee is believed to be behind a string of 12 robberies across Hampton Roads and central Virginia.

According to police, the suspect consistently tied up the victims after the robberies, and in some cases, made them undress.

Police in James City County and Chesapeake have already charged Solesbee with three robberies.
