God has turned the sunset for Evelyn Lee into a sunrise. She had a safe crossing from earth into eternity. During the early morning of July 6, 2005 at 6:50 a.m. She expired from her earthly home. She was born Dec. 17, 1934 in Windsor. She was the daughter of the late Walter and Virginia Wright Phillips. She is the wife of Norman lee and member of Metropolitan Baptist Church.

She loved her church family and remained faithful until her illness prevailed. While we will greatly miss her friendly smile and &uot;wit,&uot; we bow submissively to the will of our heavenly father, who doeth all things well.

She leaves to cherish her memory a son, Hersey Wright; daughters, Evelyn Bland, Cleveland, Md., Phyllis Hill, Chesapeake and Missionary Deborah Osborne (Alexander), of Suffolk; brothers, Raymond Wright (Alma) and Wallace Wright; sister-in-law, Rosa Stanley and brother-in-law, Clinton Lee; seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and a special grandson, Martel Wright. The viewing will begin from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday, July 9, 2005. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 10, 2005 at the Metropolitan Baptist Church, 125 County St., Suffolk. The interment will be in the Nansemond-Suffolk Cemetery.
