Catherine Wilson Hunter, formerly of Gates Road, departed this life on July 15, 2005 at Sentara Leigh Hospital. A native of Gates County, N.C. she was born to the late Harvey and Rosa Butler Wilson.

She was a homemaker and a beautician for more than 40 years. She was a member of Stoney Branch Baptist Church.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 59 years, Percy Hunter; her daughter, Vonetta Jackson and her husband, Fred; her granddaughter, Travita Fentress and her husband, Jeff, her grandson, Ryan Jackson and great grandson, Jeffrey Fentress Jr. She was predeceased by her brothers, Luther Wilson and Oscar Wilson.

The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 19, 2005 at Stoney Branch Baptist Church, 581 Gatlington Road, Gates, N.C.

The family will receive friends on Monday at Elvin Vaughan Funeral Home, 1717 South Street, Franklin, from 7 to 8 p.m. and at 9356 Gates Road, Suffolk at other times.
