The Possum Hollow Ruritan Club of the Chuckatuck areas (both Suffolk and Isle of Wight members) presented Jonathan Martin of the Chucka-tuck/Everetts area with a scholarship check for his senior year at Christopher Newport University.

The presentation was made at the club’s annual July picnic, which was held at the home of Gene and Pat Corson on Cherry Grove Road.

This is the second year that Jonathan has been awarded the Possum Hollow scholarship. Jonathan grew up in Chuckatuck and his mother owned Kitty’s Beauty Shop for 27 tears. The son of Earl and Kitty Martin, he is also a local Eagle Scout.
