At 7 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 15, Ebenezer United Methodist Church will host the first of a discussion series dealing with issues of our day.

This discussions will be on war, peace, and faith. Discussion leaders will be Dr. Nancy Heisey (on peace), a professor at Eastern Mennonite University in Harrisonburg and president of Mennonite World Conference, and Dr. Joseph L. Bass (on war), a professional organizational consultant who has provided consulting services to churches in Virginia dealing with conflict resolution, organizational management/ad-ministration, and other organizational issues. He is author of &uot;Adding Power to the Cross: Approaches to Church Enhancement.&uot;

Audience members will be able to ask questions and express opinions.The event will be held in Ebenezer’s Family Life Center at 1589 Steeple Drive, Suffolk, Virginia 23433.
